I’m beyond thrilled to share that I’ve been selected for NIH’s V-SOAR program, where I’ll be spending my summer researching health disparities! This opportunity means so much to me, not just as a chance to gain hands-on research experience, but as a step toward using data science to address real-world challenges.
Health disparities have a profound impact on communities, influencing everything from access to medical care to overall quality of life. Through V-SOAR, I’ll be working alongside researchers to analyze these inequalities and explore ways to improve health outcomes for underserved populations. It’s an exciting intersection of science, data, and social impact, and I can’t wait to dive in.
This internship fits perfectly with my academic and career goals. As someone passionate about data-driven decision-making, I’m eager to see how statistical modeling and research can inform policies that create meaningful change. I’m also looking forward to working with professionals at NIH, learning from their expertise, and applying what I learn to future projects.
I’ll be sure to share insights from my experience as the summer unfolds! For now, I’m just incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited for the journey ahead.
Stay tuned for updates, and if you have any advice on making the most of a research internship, I’d love to hear it!
